With their five compositions for Teree Sang, Sachin and Jigar (both in their 20s) have come up with some very good music that is young, contemporary and yet has a mix of a new sound and an old world charm. Two songs that are bound to make a smashing impact once they are heard in entirety are 'More Saiyaan' and 'Maula', both of which have a rock base to them. While former has an Indian classical flavor fused with rock (and hence reminds of the score from Life In A...Metro), 'Maula' has a great rhythm to it which is bound to connect with the youth. Another good song from the album is Tere Bin, with a soft melodic feel to it. Although the movie looks like complete trash, the sound track has something worth listening.

Silinder Pardesi's latest album, released this month (July). The album is produced by none other than Sukhshinder Shinda himself. Silinder has established himself as a promising punjabi singer, with his matured vocals and excellent music. The album also features Sukhshinder Shinda on vocals. This album is definitely among the better Punjabi albums released this year. The title track of the album appears to be inspired by the legend Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's Akhiyan Udeek Diyan.

UFC 100 was a mixed martial arts event being held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on July 11, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event included two championship bouts (Heavyweight and Welterweight) and a fight between the two coaches of the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter reality series on Spike TV. The event had been announced as sold-out, before the tickets were even made available to the general public.
